Shane O’Grady launched his mortgage career in 1995 with Norwest Bank, quickly establishing himself as a leader in the industry. In 1998, he co-founded Choice One Mortgage, which grew to employ more than 600 loan officers across 35 locations in the Southwest before being sold in 2006.

Following that success, Shane transitioned into investment banking as a Senior Advisor with Houlihan Smith—later Madison Street Capital—in Chicago, where he guided middle-market business owners through mergers, acquisitions, and private equity transactions.

Seeking more time at home and a chance to make a direct impact, Shane founded Life Changer Loan Corp. Driven by passion for client success, he is dedicated to educating homeowners about smarter alternatives to traditional mortgages and helping them achieve truly life-changing financial results.

A former Division I athlete, Shane began his collegiate career at the University of Wyoming before transferring to Arizona State University.

Kelly Bast began her career in the early 2000s as a loan processor with Chase, building a foundation in residential mortgage lending before expanding into the commercial real estate market. Over the next 15+ years, she gained extensive experience in property management, leasing, and business development, managing large institutional portfolios for firms such as RREEF, Invesco, and Brookfield. Most recently, she served as a General Manager with JLL, overseeing industrial assets across Arizona and Nevada.

A licensed real estate professional in Arizona and Nevada, Kelly holds a B.A. in International Business from The Ohio State University and earned her Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation. Her career has been defined by a deep understanding of both lending and real estate operations, coupled with a strong commitment to client success.

Now, Kelly has returned full circle to her roots in mortgage with Life Changer Loan, combining her early lending experience with her real estate expertise to help homeowners achieve financial freedom through innovative mortgage solutions.

Michelle brings over 25 years of experience in real estate and mortgage, having worn many hats across the industry—from loan processor to wholesale mortgage representative to real estate agent. Her well-rounded expertise gives her a unique perspective and deep understanding of every step in the process.

In 2021, Michelle joined the Life Changer Loan team, where she plays a key role in guiding clients seamlessly from start to finish. Known for her professionalism and attention to detail, she ensures each transaction runs smoothly and efficiently.

With her extensive background and commitment to client success, Michelle provides the knowledge and support that give clients confidence they’re in the best hands possible.

With over 20 years in the mortgage industry, Deb has built a career helping clients navigate the lending process with ease and confidence. She began as a Loan Processor with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in 2001, specializing in reverse mortgages, and later worked with Bank of America and MetLife in similar roles. In 2012, she joined CMG Wholesale as an Account Manager, supporting brokers and ensuring loans closed quickly and efficiently. Today, as a Loan Processor with Life Changer Loan, she leverages her extensive experience to guide borrowers smoothly from application to closing.

Gary’s journey in the mortgage industry began in 2007, shortly after the birth of his son. It was then that he was first introduced to an early version of the Life Changer Loan—a concept so powerful it left a lasting impression. After taking a hiatus, Gary has now returned to the industry with renewed passion and purpose.

With more than 40 years of leadership experience in grocery retail, Gary has managed and developed teams for both Publix Supermarkets and Costco Wholesale. His background in management, business operations, and especially customer service gives him a unique ability to guide clients with care, clarity, and commitment.

A native of Phoenix, Gary is also deeply active in his community. He serves as Support Staff Chairperson for his spiritual center, where he oversees staff and manages physical operations.

Today, Gary is thrilled to be part of Life Changer Loan, where he can share “the good word” about a smarter, more empowering alternative to traditional mortgages and homeownership.

Patty joined Life Changer Loan in 2024, bringing with her more than 40 years of expertise in mortgage banking. Her career spans every facet of the industry—from frontline operations and management to secondary marketing—giving her a deep and well-rounded perspective on lending.

For much of her career, Patty specialized in underwriting mortgage loans, including Life Changer Loans, where her attention to detail and strong industry knowledge set her apart. After taking an extended sabbatical, she felt called to return—this time as an originator—to help more families discover the power of the Life Changer Loan and the financial freedom it creates.

Patty’s wealth of experience, combined with her passion for helping clients, makes her a trusted guide for anyone ready to explore a smarter alternative to the traditional mortgage.
